The first edition of Naval Hydro Workshop was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture on 28th and 29th of January. The aim of the conference was to provide a platform for establishing contacts between different companies and academic institutions in the field of naval hydrodynamics.

Prof. Jasak at CISM: Advanced School on Modeling in Engineering Using Innovative Numerical Methods for Solids and Fluids
Prof. Hrvoje Jasak delivered a lecture in the Advanced School on Modeling in Engineering Using Innovative Numerical Methods for Solids and Fluids. The course was coordinated by Professors De Lorenzis and Düster, held at Palazzo del Torso, Udine, CISM headquarters, from October 15 to 19, 2018.
On 17th September, Prof. Jasak visited the Tsinghua University in Beijing where he held an invited lecture entitled Complex Physics Modelling with OpenFOAM. He presented the applications and code design of OpenFOAM, as well as advanced modelling of complex physics done by the FSB CFD team.
The coming 13th OpenFOAM Workshop (OFW13) will be held in Shanghai, China, on June 24-29, 2018, and hosted and organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and co-organized by Journal of Hydrodynamics (JHD) and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Ship Engineering (SKLSE).

Professor Hrvoje Jasak gave an invited presentation at the KAUST Research Conference: Combustion in Extreme Conditions which was held from March 5-8 2018 at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. The conference was organised by Clean Combustion Research Center at KAUST.
